Calling All Instructors!!

The National Employee Development Center relies on Agency employees to deliver national management and technical training. NRCS employees who are subject matter experts, possess presentation and interpersonal skills and have a desire to instruct are encouraged to apply for an instructor position. (Retirees are also encouraged to apply.) NEDC will provide additional training and support to build additional skills necessary for you to instruct.

USDA Aglearn and Skillsoft Courses

The New and Improved Agriculture Learning (AgLearn) system is USDA's Learning Management System for managing training records and activity at USDA. USDA has purchased an enterprise license for Skillsoft courseware which is now accessible through AgLearn. Thousands of Skillsoft courses are available including Business Skills, Leadership, Six Sigma, Communications, and 1500 It Professional and 300 IT End User courses such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.

NRCS Boot Camp

NRCS National Conservation Boot Camp Training

Conservation Boot Camp is a three week training program providing new technical employees with the conservation planning, application, and operations management skills needed for today's work force. This program covers approximately 20 broad subject areas. A combination of classroom and field exercises are conducted. During the program, students have had the opportunity to learn from and interact with agency leaders.
