Message from the Director

The National Employee Development Center (NEDC) is focused on serving our primary customers – the approximately 12,000 NRCS employees across the nation. Our main function is to provide opportunities for employees to build their skills to better serve our Nation’s agricultural and natural resources clientele and other private landowners. We are proud to do our part in Helping People Help the Land.

NRCS employees work in an ever changing environment. The impact of new legislation, national priorities, and new technology means that we all must continually refresh and improve our expertise.

NEDC works with all levels of the organization to design, develop, and deliver the best learning opportunities for our employees, so that they can deliver the best technical assistance to our clients. We assist our employees in being the best they can be through classroom training, blended training, online learning opportunities, education grants, and graduate level studies programs.
