NRCS Instructor Cadre

What is an instructor cadre?

A vital component to the NRCS training initiative is the instructors who deliver the training. The NEDC typically delivers 100 plus sessions of managerial and technical courses to NRCS employees each year. The majority of these sessions are delivered by subject matter experts with presentation and interpersonal skills, who possess a desire to instruct. Retirees are encourage to apply.

The NEDC is continually searching for new instructors with the skills to present information, direct structured adult learning experiences, and manage group process and discussion. If necessary, the NEDC will provide training to sharpen your skills in these areas.

If you have a desire to instruct, can be away from your job 2 to 4 weeks a year, and have approval of your supervisor, please fill out the  Application for NEDC Instructor Form that follows.
